Life Sport Journey was founded in 2012 by Nikki Burger, experienced sports administrator and facilitator.
For over 20 years, Nikki has collaborated at all levels of sport from grassroots to Olympic performance. Nikki's passion for the development of sport and people through sport drives her work.
With post-graduate qualifications in Business (Sport Management) (Deakin), Nikki has a foundational knowledge in the Australian sporting system and expertise in; strategic planning and implementation, project management and stakeholder relationship development.
The combination of establishing several professional roles from scratch including Sport Development Manager at the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (current), GM of the 2017 Australian Maccabiah Team and CEO of Melbourne Vicentre Swimming Club (2008-2012), has honed Nikki's understanding of what it takes to be successful in sport leadership and the planning and business acumen required for success.
Further background as a successful master's swimmer and raising two daughters involved in community and high performance sport has given Nikki invaluable insights into training, competition, athlete commitment and mental focus.
Nikki was awarded life membership of Maccabi AJAX Swimming Club and currently sits on several sport committees and working groups. Nikki is passionate about physical and mental health and wellbeing.
